Well, we run as root, so we are authenticated. Can we script the UI to
turn it on then?

There is no API to do this. As for scripting the UI to turn it on -
that would require
knowing the admin password.

Is there a way to turn on Enable Access for Assistive Devices

I ask, because we are developing an IT application that automatically
installs stuff on client Macs, and we would like to be able to use
installers that don't have a command line (like Apple's). We thought
the best way to do this would be to use the accessibility apple
scripts to click the buttons for us. The Windows side of our group
has a way to do this, so we are under orders to do something similar.
