No,this is not the case,Infact XPress do supports Accessiblity APIs
well.
So, any suggestions to solve this problem?
in that case, I'd file a Radar bug against those apps with
Accessibility.
Is it the latest versions of Freehand/DreamWeaver, or older ones. I'd
be interested in knowing if they aren't working properly with my app
also, but I don't have them.
Does Apple's UIElement Inspector application show anything for those
apps. If it does then I guess you are doing something wrong.
