When I call AXUIElementCopyActionDescription with action "AXCancel", the
result I get is "cancels menu action". I expected "cancel". I shouldn't get
"cancels menu action" unless the action I pass into the function is
"AXCancelMenuTracking", according to the ActionDescriptions.strings file in
the HIServices subframework's Resources folder.
Similarly, when I call this function with "AXPick" or "AXPress", the result
is "selects a menu action", when I expected "pick" or "press".
I believe these worked as expected before Panther.
Is this a bug, or is it intended? If intended, what is the principle?
