Hello,
I am a 20 y.o. student in an engineering school in computer science (Ecole
Supérieure en Sciences Informatiques - ESSI) in Sophia-Antipolis (South of
France, French Riviera).
We (all ESSI) are currently working on an extensive project in order to help
people with visual disabilities in their everyday life. All the developed
technologies are demonstrated every year at the DeVINT forum, at ESSI.
As I am an experienced Mac OS X user, I demonstrated last year at DeVINT
(June 4th) the Apple accessibility capabilities and blindness solutions. It
was a success, and since I work with a blind and Mac user researcher in
computer science ergonomics (Laboratoire de Recherche en Ergonomie
Informatique, Paris V). This man uses Apple computers for a long time, and
he is self-sufficient with his Powerbook, thanks to his personal
Hypercard-based software that he is developing since 1989 (so he was just
partially sighted).
We are both interested in VoiceOver technology, and we would be very pleased
to be in touch with some motivated developers to take possibly part to ours
ambitious projects. Send me an email if you are interested or if u want some
details.
Yours faithfully,
Amaury NOIRCLERE
