To all,
I have been approached by a friend who's wife is providing care for a woman with severe MS. He has looked at the tools she has to communicate with and although computers aren't something he really understands he really feels what she has could be improved on a lot. I hate to try and reinvent the wheel and I really don't know how to start researching to determine the state of the art either in hardware or software.
It seems at first blush as though this list is populated mostly by people who have been working on software solutions to various problems. Is this correct? Are there other places that I might look for on the net that would provide me a better picture of the state of the art? Are interested people grouped by hardware, software, infirmity or some other type of cluster on the www?
As I say I am at the very beginning of my search and any advise will be a great boon to me and hopefully to her too.
Thanks in advance
