Hi All,
Below are several basic use cases I plan to refine and submit to Radar. Before I submit them, I was hoping that I could present them here and receive some feedback.
Chris, you may recognize some of these from our direct correspondence.
BEGIN USE CASE 1:
Get Spoken Announcements of Upcoming intersections
Users with visual impairments want to get spoken announcements of upcoming intersections, while walking, so that they can be better oriented to their surroundings.
Steps:
1. The user opens Maps with VoiceOver running
2. Maps determines that the user is moving
3. Maps determines when a user gets within a predefined distance from an intersection
4. Maps passes the name of the intersecting roads, relative direction and distance from the intersection to VoiceOver
5. VoiceOver speaks the names of the intersecting roads, relative direction and distance from the intersection to the user
Glossary:
- Relative direction: The direction, relative to the user, of a point on a map. This can be provided in a simple "ahead", "behind", "to the left" or "to the right"
Products Affected:
Maps for iOS
VoiceOver for iOS
END OF USE CASE 1
BEGIN USE CASE 2:
Use Physical Keyboard to Configure iOS
Description:
New users want to use physical keyboards to configure iOS devices so that they can have an easier time entering their information
Steps:
1. The user taps their keyboard with the iOS device they would like to configure
2. The iOS device searches for the nearest keyboard
3. The iOS device requests to connect to the keyboard
4. The keyboard accepts the connection
5. The user uses the keyboard to input information on the iOS device
Products Affected:
Apple Wireless Keyboard
iOS
END OF USE CASE 2
Please let me know what you all think.
Regards,
Alex,
