Hi List,
On August 28, I filed the feature request, Syncing Mac VoiceOver Settings Using iCloud (14864951), in Radar and I thought i'd share it here. To illustrate the feature request, I will include a partial use case below.
BEGIN PARTIAL USE CASE:
Syncing Mac VoiceOver Settings Using iCloud
Description:
Users with visual impairments, who own multiple Macs, would like to keep their VoiceOver settings synchronized so that they can reduce the time spent adjusting their personal work environment each time they make a change on a computer.
Steps:
1. The user makes a change to their VoiceOver settings
2. VoiceOver updates the setting in iCloud
3. iCloud notifies VoiceOver on the user’s other devices about the change
4. VoiceOver updates its local settings according to the notifications received from iCloud
Products Affected:
iCloud
OS X
VoiceOver
END OF PARTIAL USE CASE
I also submitted a related feature request, Syncing iOS Accessibility Settings Using iCloud (14865056), which suggests syncing all of the accessibility settings across iOS devices.
I do not believe that accessibility settings should be synced between Macs and iOS devices, as both types of devices have vastly different options and styles of use.
Please review and provide feedback.
Regards,
Alex,
