NSAccessibilityPostNotification not working

  • Subject: NSAccessibilityPostNotification not working

 Hello,

I believe I'm running on the same problem described in the past:
 http://lists.apple.com/archives/accessibility-dev/2011/Jan/msg00013.html
 http://lists.apple.com/archives/accessibility-dev/2006/Nov/msg00019.html

Is this problem fixed in 10.8/10.9 ?
If not, is there any work around to make my accessible objects (subclass of NSObject) observable ?
Using a NSView to enclose the observable accessible object in question is not an option for me.
In my app the only cocoa objects are the NSWindow and a NSOpenGLView, everything else is rendered using GL.
I would suspect that browsers would have the same problem as I have...

 Thanks
 Felipe
