Hi Alex,

Braille display support is always implemented by Apple, for both iOS and OS X. The drivers are part of the core operating system, they cannot be installed on top. They are, essentially, part of VoiceOver.

Dear Accessibility Team and list,

I am currently working on Braille Display products that I would like to make compatible with iOS and OS X. I have thus far been unable to find any documentation on writing drivers, or in any other way interfacing with VoiceOver.

Any help you are able to provide would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,
Alex,
