Hi all,
in my OS X application I want the standard VoiceOver sound that reports that a web page has finished loading to be triggered to convey this information to the user.
According to what I’ve read, the only way for this to happen is to trigger the sound manually. After some researching, I located the sound at
/System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/ScreenReader.framework/Versions/A/Resources/Sounds
. Unfortunately, if I run my app in a Sandbox that path is not accessible. The only way to play the sound from my sandboxed app that comes to my mind is to include it in my app bundle; is it ok according to Apple terms? Otherwise, what should I do to make the sound play while complying with Sandbox polices? I could request a temporary sandbox exception, but I’d like to avoid that if possible.
Thanks in advance for your support.
Vincenzo.
