We have a running subtotal in our GoPayment app. I¹d like to trigger
VoiceOver to announce the new total whenever a user adds an object to the
shopping cart. We are already doing this visually.
I know Screen Changed Notification is great for letting the user know when
the screen has changed and this is what I would suggest. However, I¹m
wondering if this is still the best method.
UIAccessibilityScreenChangedNotification
<https://developer.apple.com/library/ios/documentation/UIKit/Reference/UIAc
cessibility_Protocol/index.html#//apple_ref/c/data/UIAccessibilityScreenCha
ngedNotification>
If this was HTML, I would do something like this
<span aria-live=³assertive² class=³subtotal">$7.50</span>
I don¹t want VoiceOver to announce everything on the screen, just the
subtotal change.
Thanks
