How does that affect text seen on a Braille display? I think that, for example, a major cable provider in this area is using the same trick and VO is cheerily sending "Ecks Finity" to the Braille display--which, being a written medium, can give a ... less than professional image of the company.

Have you tried CFBundleSpokenName? (I learned about this too late for King of Dragon Pass, but will use it next update.)
