Hi all,
I am Vincenzo Rubano and I am a blind computer science student from Italy. I am pretty new to OS X programming and I am currently playing with WebView to embed web content in an application. Against my expectations, I am noticing that VoiceOver in a native WebView does not behave exactly like in the one used in Safari, so I was wondering what extra accessibility events Safari triggers…
To investigate that, I need a way to see what accessibility events VoiceOver is receiving; other screen readers have some sort of debug features that allow developers to do this kind of things, but unless I’m missing something I’ve not found anything about this in VoiceOver. I’ve also tried the accessibility inspector and I can inspect accessibility hierarchies, but unless I’m missing something I’ve not found the way to see what accessibility events are being triggered by an application.
So my question is, what is the recommended way to monitor accessibility events? I hope I don’t have to write my own observer leveraging AX APIs… :-)
If this helps, I am using OS X 10.11.2 beta 4.
Thanks in advance for your support.
