Hi Ted!
Right now, as the documentation points out, the window spots feature populates with two types of content:
1. Auto generated “key areas”
2. User provided “hot spots” that are added by the VoiceOver user
There’s no public way for developers to add their own window spot areas so please file a bug at bugreport.apple.com requesting to make this functionality available.
Thanks,
Josh
