- Thread-topic: What user preferences are available to Safari Web/Mobile
Hi All
I recently had eye surgery to correct my vision and I gained a whole new level
of respect for user preferences, as the recovery process was painful and my
eyes were very light sensitive. Now that I have recovered, I want to create a
test page of techniques to respect a user’s preferences.
James Craig shared this page on re-inverting images when a user sets their
computer to inverse colors.

What else is available?
For instance, how can I tell if a user has made any of the following changes?
Did I miss anything?
Larger font sizes
Increased contrast
Reduced Motion
Changed white point
Deque has a summary of aural styles, but this isn’t necessarily a user setting:

Also, it is easy to grab this information when using a web view within a native
application. I’m looking for techniques that can go into a basic web page and
be viewed either on a desktop or mobile experience.
I know I’ve seen documentation on this before, but it is very difficult to
search for these techniques, as there is so much documentation on changing your
Safari user preferences.
What are your thoughts?
Thanks
