Hello,
I’m looking for some advice on how to best configure the accessibility
properties on some custom checkbox and radio button controls in my company’s
iOS app.
I’m currently relying on the Button, Selected, and NotEnabled traits, but
recently got some guidance from an accessibility consultant to make them read
like HTML form controls in Safari, particularly that they should always read
their state (“checked” / “unchecked”). I’m curious what the consensus is on the
topic, and whether the built-in traits supplied by iOS are sufficient, and
present a strong enough convention to avoid going fully custom with the
implementation.
Thanks!
