I don't use Quark, although at times this page makes me wish that I do since
it offers several scripts that look to be so useful:
http://macscripter.net/workflow.html
one of them may be helpful to you:
QuarkXPress to PhotoShop 4.0
This script, by Sal Soghoian, allows you to select some images in a
QuarkXPress layout and to process them in Photoshop when running the script.
Each image will be opened in PhotoShop and chosen processes from the Actions
palette will be applied to the opened image (all files selected to be
processed will undergo the actions that have been inserted into the Actions
palette
Also FYI, this note from the Macscripter, net site:
There's a new osax available in our Scripting Additions. Graphics Importer,
by Hikaru Abe, is a scripting addition for working directly with images.
This scripting addtion not only changes image status, format, size,
resolution, color depth, compression rate, but scale and rotate image by
matrix. There is also an English version available. [d/l]
I haven't played with this at all, but I plan to give it a test drive.
