No, list members never came to a mutual agreement.
My vote, however, is to not use option-L, since it causes more problems than
it solves. It's a lot easier to fix line wraps than it is to fix line wraps
*and* extraneous commas.
The list administrator has expressed that the translation problem will be
fixed in the future, at which time we would be able to once again use
option-L. So I'm not using them option-L again until I know the list server
can handle it.
