If the base station is serving as a DHCP server, as you suggest, then the
iBook is being assigned a different IP address every time it boots up. You
can see the current IP address in the TCP/IP control panel. Eyeball that
address, then use it to get your scripts working.

How to write a script to find the new IP address every time she boots up is
a puzzle.
