the user experience.

As I said, that shows potential, not power. Without a UI that gives users
access to the inner workings there is no power given to the users.

accessible to more users

I don't know why, but that description made me laugh out loud. : >

That's not how I remember it. I believe work started on the AI plug-in
first, infact I believe they had a significant head start.

This kind of bugs me, because you frequently posted that it was a certainty
that Adbobe was planning to implement Scriptability as if as an insider you
were sharing some inside information but now we learn that it was simply
"reasonable to believe".

>>>I gather that Cal wants more $$ than Adobe thinks it's worth...

So, from where do you gather that? Do you have an inside track on some
negotiations (which I don't believe ever took place?) or are you simply
being reasonable again?

Adobe (and others) what can be done with a good scripting implementation on
top of a high end graphics package.

That's certainly not what I got from the tone or your previous posts. I
definitely got the feeling that you were bitter towards cal and were
lashing out, which, I guess, is understandable if you had been hoping to
work on a Photoshop implementation and didn't get the chance.
