Does anyone use MacPerl AppleEvents?

Hi. Does anyone here take advantage of using AppleEvents in MacPerl to Interact with other AppleScripts and synchronize actions with them? I'm just curious... It seems to be possible to write your own apple events in Perl scripts, in addition to being able to trigger and embed AppleScripts into Perl scripts (and vice-versa).

If anyone has, could you point me in the direction of some good examples of how to do this in a concise, cleanly-coded way? I've read the "MacPerl: Power and Ease" book, but they only touch on the subject and don't dive into detail since it is beyond the scope of the book.

Thanks in advance...

-Erik
