Can the startup drive be set in a script?

If so, can it be done without 3rd party osax?

Hi Bradley,

Yes, the startup drive/disk can be set in a script. And, yes, you need an osax to do it, but if that's all the script does, save it as "run-only" and the osax's code will become part of the script.
