Hi!

A number of people have privately suggested that we post this message to appropriate technical discussion lists, including this one. After discussing it with the list super mom ... Chuq ... we thought it was a good idea as well. So here we go.

There are several of you that have truly excellent knowledge of AppleScript -- as displayed by the postings here. And, this list is truly good at serving the needs of the community immersed in this stuff.

It's been suggested that some, or even many, of you would be good candidates to educate not only this community, but the broader developer and technical community on the Mac, on this area ... and that the best way to do this would be through MacTech Magazine.

That said, and as suggested, consider this your invitation to write for MacTech Magazine. If you are interested, contact us at mailto:email@hidden and you might want to download the MacTech writer's kit at:

http://www.mactech.com/editorial/writersguide.html

The first step is to identify a topic -- usually best to go with the stuff you really know about -- outline it, and go from there. We'll help you through the process. Don't worry about your writing style -- we'll get you help where appropriate from one of our contributing and possibly technical editors.

And, aside from "getting your name in lights" <g>, you get paid for this effort. Contact us for more information.

Given that next week is a holiday break -- it's a great time to work on articles!

So -- if you think you have something to share on the topic of AppleScript, or other topics ... let us know.

Thanks,

Jessica Stubblefield
