Does anyone know how to insert the command key into a script?
Hi Sally.
AppleScript is not really designed for automating keyboard strokes. For
that, you might be better off with a macro utility like 'OneClick'.
There is no 'built-in' facility in AppleScript for simulating key presses,
althought there are SCRIPTING ADDITIONS (third-party libraries of extra
terminology for AppleScript) that can do this. More knowledgeable heads than
mine can point you towards the ones that provide this function.
It may be that you don't actually need to 'insert the command key' into your
script. Write in again, describing what you want your script to achieve, and
I'm sure that someone will be able to offer a solution...
