You probably don't want the _full_ current date, right? (date "Friday,
December 29, 2000 3:54:06 PM") Just the date string, yes? It's easy if you
have OS 8.6 or higher. Now, do you mean by "next Thursday" - "the very next
Thursday to come, even if it's this week", as they do in the UK (so that
"next Thursday" means "in two days" if it happens to be Tuesday today)? Or
do you mean "Thursday of next week", as in the US (so that "next Thursday"
means "in nine days" if it happens to be Tuesday today).
Nice approach, Paul. No detectable speed difference between your code
and Mattias's that I can see, but half the number of lines. <s>
In this application, all I'm really after is the month, date and year
(ie. November 16, 2000) of the very next Thursday to come.

I have top redo all our page templtes to accomodate our printers
imposition software, and the process is tripling the number of
templates we will have to use (front of signature with lip - spread
and single page, back of signature with lip - spread and single page,
and signature with no lip - spread and single page). Our layout
editor has been manually changing the folio date on the existing
templates, but with the increased number I told her I'd just script
the process and save her time and typos.
