Thanks to all of those have replied to my QPS/PS/EPS/PDF problem. I had it
finally solved by saving to EPS. It is even quicker than going through PS.
The reason I was going through PS was to bypass a problem of fades created
in Quark. When a file is saved as EPS and opened in Photoshop, all fades
created in Quark become banded. Everyone here thought it was a Quark-related
problem, and the only way we knew how to bypass the problem was to save the
file as PS, distill it in Acrobat and open it in Photoshop. None of us
thought trying it through EPS. We thought it was a Quark problem of saving
the file and not of Photoshop interpreting it.
Now, everything is so much clearer.
Thanks again to all of you,
