Eudora select

Is there any way to select the middle section of a long text file without scrolling at light speed? I mean there's "select all", which works fine, but what if I want to select the middle 100 lines of a 300 line file? Once you start scrolling, the thing is impossible to stop. If you take your finger off the mouse, there's no way to get it started again that I can detect. Clicking on the selected section turns it into an "object". BBEdit Lite works the same way.

I wonder if anyone ever considered programming the scrolling action to be slower when the mouse is on one side of the window? Or something?

While I'm Venting, Is there any way to set Eudora to mark messages as "read" or "sent"?

Greg
