Folder Actions saved as applications

  • Subject: Folder Actions saved as applications

I've made a folder action to ask for a password when the folder is opened
(on opening folder xFolder), but I want to be able to open the script
instead of the folder for it to do separate things (in an 'on run'
statement). I can only seem to attach compiled scripts to a folder so when
I open the script it will come up with the script and not what it's meant
to do in the run statement.
Is there any way of attaching a script saved as an application to a folder?
I'm using Mac OS 8.6 and AppleScript 1.3.6
