HELP! PDF to EPS, how?

Has anyone successfully automated the export of an eps file from
Acrobat 4? I need a solution to this in a hurry (imagesetter is down,
and our printer can't handle the postscript code our classified
pagination system spits out -- I really don't want to manually do 35
pages on deadline).
Acrobat isn't recordable, and simply doing the menu item still
requires user interaction in the resulting dialogs.
