Allen,
Not sure what you mean. I don't use a mac mail client. We transfer our files
to an NT Server.
Although I have spent 10 happy years with Macs, I'm now predominantly
working with NT. However, I had a need for some document management tools
tied in to Filemaker and they just weren't there on NT. So out comes a
stored PPC 7100/80AV and I have started using Applescript for the first time
(done quite a bit of superficial stuff with Frontier though) and after just
4 days my solution is complete.
With a click of a Filemaker button, [FMPro (5) + Acrobat Exchange 3 and AS]
will create a header page, attach it to a digitised PDF file, move it into a
customer's folder. Once the batches are complete, a schedule of documents is
produced, dropped into the appropriate folder. The folders are then zipped,
named and moved to the Server. All this is done in 2 short Applescripts.
Filemaker workflow dates are also inserted as part of the process.
As I'm writing this, I've just had a thought that instead of dropping the
files into a shared folder on the Server, I can script Fetch to upload them
to the customer ftp folders.
Oh well, must go and think that one through.
George Pitcher, in Edinburgh, Scotland, wishing I'd looked at Applescript
ages ago.

Probably depends on what mail client you use. Which do you use?
