Color Lookup Tables and dithering via AppleScript

Anyone have any suggestions for dithering an image to a list of color values
easily? I'm hoping theres an easier way I'm missing besides trying to build
a Photoshop "CLUT" file and then using Photoshop for the dithering...

Ideas? Can Debabelizer do this? What about PhotoScripter for Photoshop? Is
PhotoScripter compatible with Photoshop 6?

I really need a solution where I can pass a list of colors to dither a
target image to... Whatever interim steps need be taken is fine (whether
creating a CLUT file, whatever).

Thanks :)
