I suspect that's the key. Just try a simple script without it to confirm it.
It's the 'do script' command that brings FMP to the front - i.e. embedding
an FMP script command within AS. This doesn't happen with 'go to' or any of
the other commands I've tried so far.
It may be possible to completely replace the FMP script with real
applescript. I'll give it a try. The Dictionary seems ample, maybe it's
possible to do everything by AS. Here's hoping.
BTW, since this AS script is running from Entourage and I don't want the
"Where is FileMaker Pro" window popping up every time FMP doesn't happen to
be open after restart, I've used a version of John Delacour's technique for
app as variable (raw codes with <<class psn >>). But I've replaced all calls
to the Finder with Akua Sweets commands (quite a few of them) to avoid some
problems I've had with the Finder being very slow at finding processes and
causing an error. It works very well.
