Problems with URL access

We are trying to get the result of a web page after we append a userID to the end of the URL.

This is a problem since handle CGI will not work, URL access downloads the result as a file and we need to interpret the contents on the page.


Any ideas of what else I can do to send a request for data and get it back as a "result" and not a file?
