Hi there,
I'm running MacOS 9.0.4 and beta testing a carbonised app which is
in a 'package'.
I'm just starting to test the Applescript support and discovered that I
could not read the dictionary because the app was inside the package.
Opening packages became a contextual menu item in 9.1, which I don't
have installed.
I used File Buddy to extract the app from the package, and thus was able
to read the dictionary.
So, is there some mechanism to make this easier? Can we expect script
editors to be smart enough to look inside packages for the appropriate
app?
Is there anything I can tell the developers of the software I am testing
so that dropping the package on script editor will get the dictionary open?
Many thanks.

this is the new way, when you try to read the dictionary, the
application will activate (open).
You do not have to have anything else other than the Script editor,
you just have to aim at an application with the extension (.)app.
That is that.
