Honestly, I would run over to VTC and get their AppleScript Training
CD-ROM. Its narrated quicktime movies are by FAR better than any book
I've read on the subject. It's more expensive than a book, but like I
said, much more valuable.

I think the CD is available from amazon for slightly less.

However, If I /had/ to buy a book, it'd be the Visual Quickstart guide
for "AppleScript for the Internet" by Ethan Wilde. It's pretty current,
and explains things okay.

I am by no means an accomplished scripter, in fact, I struggle with all
but the simplest scripts. But watching someone else write a script and
expalin what they're doing.
