move font file from font folder

I am creating my own Fonts Manager and I want to move Font files from the
fonst folder to a "Inactivated" folder. I can move any file from any folder to
anywhere else, but wen I try to move fonts, I the Finder complains that it
cannot move fonts while applications are still running. Finder sees my Fonts
Manager as an app, of course. What can I do to circumvent this problem?
