Jon, any idea where the conflict might be? It affects only "startup system folder alias", not "startup disk alias", since I also have Jon's Commands 2.1.2 on my G3, whose script uses the "startup disk alias" syntax.
I don't see where the problem is, but there is an issue with the constant used for "startup disk alias" which is 'disk'. This constant is used by Akua Sweets as "Disk Volume". The constant for "startup system folder alias" is 'sysf', another easily used constant.
However, Jon's Commands doesn't use either, so I don't know why removing it would help.
My best guess is that it is attempting to make "startup system folder alias" into "system folder" from Standard Additions and "alias" from my "alias information" object and not parsing it into the single property from the current application. Removing either of the terms which are blocking the simpler one should do it.
Or I could be blowing smoke up your kilt. Who knows?
