Disabling mouse while script runs

  • Subject: Disabling mouse while script runs

I have a script to log off students from a server. The script quits all apps, closes open windows, empies the trash and unmounts mounted volumes. A problem arises (including in some cases the alias for the script disappearing from the desktop!) if a user clicks repeatedly on the alias for the script.

Is there a way to disable the mouse button once the script starts running and then enabling it again at the end of the script?

TIA
