Folks:
I just upgraded a machine to 9.1 (G4) and the latest AS (1.6) with CarbonLib
1.3.1 and all the other updates software update control panel said I needed.
The problem is the "activate" command. Smile barfs on it, Script Editor
fares no better--it often just crashes forcing a hard restart.
"Display Dialog" leaves the window of the app (QXP) grayed out even after
dismissing. The user has to wait till the script finishes, then click
outside the window to the finder, then back on the QXP window to activate
it. This happens regardless if I have the command in a tell block or not.
All of this worked just fine in 8.6. How do I get around the problems? What
replaces the "activate" command if it no longer works? I had to revert to
CarbonLib 1.2.5 to get Script Editor and Smile to work just to get product
out the door for tonight.
Ideas?
