Hi, Matt.
There's some good samples at Applescript Handbook. The idea is like this.
MESSAGE SENDER
-- script 1, located at your computer
set theMessage to "Hello!"
set theRecipient to application "Target" of machine "Remote" of zone "mac"
-- if you prefer, you can use the IP
-- set theRecipient to application "Target" of machine "eppc://00.000.0.0"
tell theRecipient to DisplayMessage(theMessage)
-- end script 1
MESSAGE DISPLAYER
-- stay-open script, at remote machine, named "Target"
on DisplayMessage(theMessage)
tell me to activate
display dialog theMessage
end DisplayMessage
-- end stay-open-remote script
You should set program linking's remote machine to "on" and blah, blah...
Go to Apple's Applescript site and download the Guidebook module about
"Program Linking via IP". It's so helpful.
Luck!
