I think the easy way would be to create field of some
sort, text or checkbox, to mark after each record is
processed. Then you could just find the unmarked
records.
Alternatively, if you produce Excel files for each
record processed then you could count the number of
files in the "done" folder and then pick up processing
from the count of the files to the count of the
records.
You could also create a log file of some sort to keep
track of everything, but that's more like real work
and AppleScript is all about avoiding that.
