Not in PictureViewer, but in QuickTime --> QuickTime Preferences --> Browser

That preference affects only the translation of files, downloaded by a
web browser, by the quicktime plugin.
I did a bit more digging, and it seems that this script will open any
file with the application that created it, and if that application
doesn't exist, it will display the dialog asking you to pick an
application. It completely ignores the application that the script tells
to open the file.
