Since you say "future," I would recommend against it (there shouldn't be
any present problems in Mac OS 9 and below, except that your data could
well go away when you edit the script, and that could differ on an
editor-by-editor basis: disconcerting during development).

But "the future" has no resource forks (it has separate files with the
resource stuff in those files).
