What you want is Kindershell. Works like a peach. Installation is somewhat enigmatic (at least at the time I downloaded it), but the easiest way is to create a folder in you home Library (not the /Library as when I tried it it did not work) named ScriptingAdditions. In that folder you stick Kindershell and it just works!
