It appears that one stay open applet can't start another one via the 'run

script' command. The second one just runs and quits. Is there any reason for

My understanding is that the stay-open properties of an applet are in
the applet shell, while a "run script" just loads a script object and
runs it under the calling script. I can't think of any way around it
using "run script", but there's nothing to stop you from launching the
second script as an application.
