confirming application responses

Is there anyway to select an answer (button) on an application warning that
comes up during a script. I have a window that confirms a delete and then
provides a "Yes" and a "No" button for options. I'd like to be able to get
the script to select "yes" without having to manually go into the
application and click the button. I hope that made some sort of sense.

Thanks,
BC
