One small caveat here is that if you have any artwork with identical
names stored in different directories you will overwrite one of them.
Eg.
you have some art called 'egg' in an artwork folder and another
(different) piece called 'egg' stored in a logos folder. One will
overwrite the other and you'll end up with missing art.

OOPS! That's exactly what happens. I noticed that Quark adds an "01_" at
the beginning of one of the file names when doing a "collect for output"
in a scenario like this. It also automatically updates the path name of
the image in the saved Quark doc. I know I need to include an "if/then"
statement, but how can I keep AS from generating multiple files of the
same image? Please pardon my inexperience; I only know enough to be
dangerous.

Again, I sure appreciate any guidance.

Bill
