Oh, c'mon. It was a clever undocumented hack someone came up with, and the
workaround is simple. Relying on undocumented features is always dangerous
(and yes, I've used ":" as alias too).

Surely you can just replace the relevant line of code. Use a scriptable
editor like Script Debugger and it becomes a relatively painless operation.
