If you are running it over TCP/IP then it sounds like the same problem I
had a few months back: a hard freeze in ipcKillListPorts(). Fortunately
we were able to use AppleTalk protocol (which has never missed a beat).

I sent a few reports and stdLogs to Chris Nebel, but I never heard back
from him about it.
