I really didn't want 9.2. In my opinion if a setup works for you,
don't mess with it unless you really want some benefit that's
supposed to come from it.
The problem is that I finished scripts, but needed a new computer (or
at least a bigger hard drive - but where's the fun in that?) to make
use of the image processing that my scripts are for. I bought a new
867 G4 and it came with OS 9.2.1. It wouldn't let me install OS 9.1
- it won't run off that CD (and this is progress?).
A solution I've kind of found is to install AS 1.6 again with all of
it's scripting additions. Things are much closer to working again,
but still have random errors. A script will execute perfectly one
time and then the next it tells me that if "can't continue quit"
command to an application. As far as I can tell they are the same
conditions all around. Go figure.
Any ideas on whether AS 1.7 might be fixed, or if I will have to
rewrite all my scripts if I ever want to upgrade?
